YourTown Health is pleased to announce that it is now offering free home delivery of prescription medicine. Medicare and privately insured patients are encouraged to take advantage of our new program that brings the pharmacy to you.
To ensure you get the best care, YTH is partnering with Equiscript, a Charleston-based company that specializes in pharmacy services. Equiscript employs a team of trained patient care advocates who take the time to get to know your needs. Your advocate will order your prescription from the pharmacy, answer any questions and assist with insurance information. They’ll also call you when it’s time for a refill so you never run out. They can even schedule a doctor visit, if necessary.
It’s estimated that half of Americans have an ongoing health concern that requires them to take prescription drugs. Only half of them take their medications as prescribed. Studies show that patients whose medications are delivered to them at home are more likely to stick to their treatment. That means their level of care is improved and they make less trips to the emergency room.
