For the second year in a row, Joanne E. Williams, MD, of YourTown Health has been recognized as one of Atlanta magazine’s Top Doctors. What makes the list special is that, along with extensive research, the physicians are chosen by their peers as being the best and most trusted. In the July issue, Dr. Williams is noted for her expertise in preventive medicine. She is board certified in family medicine and practices at YTH’s Palmetto office at 643 Main Street.

A graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Williams has been in practice for 39 years. She completed her residency at the University of Maryland Medical System and fellowships at Duke University Hospital and Emory. She went on to become an assistant professor and staff physician at Emory, where she received the prestigious Campus Life Humanitarian Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the Division of Campus Life-Multicultural Life.
